New scenes download on first launch; on a slow connection you may see “Preparing scene”. On Wi-Fi the next 9 scenes are fetched ahead, on cellular 3. Without a connection you keep studying with the scenes already on your device.
Choose your language under Profile → Settings → Your language. Line meanings, answer choices and explanations then come in that language; the scenes and the English stay the same. On first choice the language file (about 1 MB) downloads by itself while you are online.
To move from one level to the next you need to recall a set number of lines correctly on different days, when their review is due. Watching earns nothing; remembering does. You can also change the video difficulty yourself at any time.
The free plan opens a set number of new scenes each day; reviews are always unlimited. New scenes come again tomorrow. Plus lifts the limit.
The subscription belongs to your Apple account: iPhone Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions. On a new device, restore it under Profile → Volearn Plus → “Restore purchases”. Volearn stores no payment details.
iPhone Settings → Notifications → Volearn must be on. Reminders are silent, skip days you have already studied and stop after a week away; your chosen rhythm resumes when you return.
Progress is stored on your device and travels with iCloud backup and device transfer. There is no Volearn account, so no separate sign-in is needed.
Deleting the app deletes the whole learning record and all preferences on the device. If you joined the league, use Apple’s Game Center settings for the points there.
